Gleeson’s East Yorkshire charity golf event raises over £6,000 for Zarach
Housebuilder, Gleeson Homes, held its annual regional charity golf day at the Belvedere Hotel and Golf in Bridlington on Friday 29th August.
This year, the charity golf day was in aid of Zarach The Children's Bed Charity, Gleeson’s charity partner for 2025. The event welcomed several suppliers and contractors from across the Gleeson network, alongside colleagues from Gleeson’s East Yorkshire regional office.
Zarach is a charity dedicated to ending child bed poverty in the UK by providing beds and essential items to children in need. Founded by a Primary School teacher in 2018, the charity has delivered thousands of bed bundles to ensure children have a proper place to sleep, which positively impacts their education and wellbeing.
Through a combination of on the day fundraising activities and generous contributions from those in attendance - including proceeds from a raffle - the event successfully raised approximately £6,500 in support of Zarach.
“It was a pleasure to host our regional charity golf day in support of Zarach the Children's Bed Charity. The event served as an excellent occasion for both networking and fundraising for a great cause, and we truly appreciate the generosity of all those involved, including our colleagues and valued suppliers and contractors.”
