Gleeson donates £1,000 to Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare

Gleeson Homes has donated £1,000 to Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare in Scunthorpe, supporting the charity’s vital work providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families across North Lincolnshire.

The donation helps to support Lindsey Lodge’s ongoing commitment to delivering free, compassionate care to those living with life-limiting conditions. Alongside end-of-life care, the hospice provides a range of services designed to help people live well, including wellbeing support, symptom management clinics, complementary therapies, family support services and bereavement care.

As an independent charity, Lindsey Lodge relies heavily on fundraising and donations, with only a proportion of its core running costs funded through government support.

The donation was made in recognition of Lindsey Lodge Hospice’s proximity to Gleeson’s forthcoming development on Burringham Road, demonstrating the housebuilder’s commitment to supporting the communities it will serve.

The presentation was attended by Bethany Marshall, Sales Manager, and Emily Barratt, Land Manager, both of whom represent Gleeson locally. For Bethany, the visit was especially meaningful because her grandmother had previously been cared for at Lindsey Lodge.

“We are extremely grateful to Gleeson Homes for their generous donation. As an independent charity, support like this is vital in helping us continue to provide compassionate care to patients and their families at some of the most difficult times in their lives. Donations from local businesses make a real difference to the services we can offer.”

Laura Fidell,
Fundraising Assistant at Lindsey Lodge Hospice

“Lindsey Lodge holds a very special place for my family and me. The care and compassion shown to my grandmother meant a great deal to us, and I am incredibly proud that Gleeson can support a hospice that provides such vital care to so many local families. Being able to give something back feels very personal and meaningful.”

Bethany Marshall,
Sales Manager at Gleeson Homes

“It’s important to us that we support organisations that play such a significant role within local communities. Lindsey Lodge provides essential care and support to people when they need it most, and we’re pleased that this donation can help support their continued work, particularly so close to our future development on Burringham Road.”
